Request a Consultation

Tell us what's going on. We'll tell you what's possible.

A few questions below help McCain decide quickly whether this is a matter the firm should take up with you. You'll hear back by phone or email, usually within one business day.

What happens next

STEP 1

You send the request.

Name, the best way to reach you, the kind of matter, and a short description. Two minutes, no fee.

STEP 2

McCain reviews it.

He reads every request himself and checks for conflicts. If a deadline or court date is near, say so and it moves to the front.

STEP 3

We talk.

A call or an office visit in Homewood or Gary. If it's not a fit, you'll get a straight answer and, where possible, a referral.

Please read before you submit. Sending this form does not make you a client and does not create an attorney-client relationship; that happens only when we both sign a written engagement agreement. Until then, keep it brief and leave out anything you'd rather not have in writing. What you send is treated as confidential under the rules that protect prospective clients, but the surest protection is a conversation. If a filing deadline, court date or arrest is involved, call rather than wait for a reply.

Before you write

Helpful to have at hand

You don't need documents to send the request. If you have them, these make the first conversation more useful: any paperwork you were served or signed, the names of the other people or companies involved (for the conflict check), dates that matter, and what outcome you're hoping for.

For legacy planning, a rough list of what you own and who you want to provide for is enough to start. For criminal matters, the charging documents and the next court date. For business questions, the agreement or the problem in a sentence or two.
